Just finished the Coup Perdu and the deadbeat version. Both came out great. I used N20 30rpm and 54rpm motors both worked fine. The glass reeds were a bitch. Broke several of them. Decided to redo the switch cover and made the area rectangular and deeper so I could use the plastic Reed switches. The plastic reed switches run fine.

Thanks for confirming that the different motors work great.
I had good results with my batch of switches. As far as I remember, none have ever broken. However, that doesn't mean that all units have the same strength glass. Maybe I got a strong batch. The plastic switches were about 2X more expensive than the glass ones, so I designed around the glass ones.
I am going through many of the older clocks and doing design refreshes. I will put the Coup Perdu on the list and add support for the plastic switches.
