Building my first printed clock a SP12, everything works like it should except, there is no movement of the hands. I don't see where the gear 4_8 or gear 4_36_8 are driven from. Is there a drawing of the path of power through the gears that could help me? Or something else?
Thank you
Donald
The power to gear 4_36_8 comes from the ratchet assembly. If the escapement is moving fine and the minute and second hands are not moving I'd look to make sure your gears are properly afixed to the arbor. Gear 4_8 should sit tight on the minute arbor so that it turns with the gear.
Your spring should also be strong enough so it doesn't slip unless you are setting the time.
The last thing it could be is the gear6_32 could be too tight against the frame stopping the hour hands from moving.
